We are committed to staying on the cutting edge of the latest treatments and technologies and are dedicated to keeping you thoroughly informed.
When you have an initial consultation at Saint Clair Allergy and Asthma Center, you can expect a comprehensive evaluation of your condition. Located in the New Patients section of our website, you will find our Patient Forms page. On this page are the required medical forms you will need to complete and bring with you to your first appointment. Completed forms will help us address your specific concerns. Completing these forms in advance will save time and allow us to spend more time answering your questions and completing the clinical examination. Please plan your initial appointment to take up to 3 hours.
We will begin with a history of your medical conditions, including any allergy, asthma, or immunologic problems. Please obtain and bring with you a COMPLETE MEDICATION LIST, any medical records that would be useful pertaining to the reason for your visit (e.g., skin test results, laboratory reports, biopsies, x-rays, etc.)

Once all the necessary health history information is collected and reviewed, your physician will discuss any tests that may need to be performed to help identify the underlying problem. This may involve x-rays, blood tests, and/or skin tests. In patients with suspected or diagnosed asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung function testing may be done. This procedure, called spirometry, is a rapid, non-invasive measurement of your lung function and helps determine what therapies are indicated for you.
After all the test results have been reviewed, we will speak with you about your symptoms, your diagnosis, and our recommendations for treatment. In return, we encourage you to ask any questions you may have before, during, and after your visit with us.
